Jesse Willms, Philanthropist And Entrepreneur, Donates To The Kiva Foundation To Help Small Businesses.

Jesse Willms, known as the founder of multiple successful Internet companies, has made a $1,000 donation to the Kiva Foundation to help and inspire aspiring entrepreneurs from developing nations.

It is far from the first time Willms and his companies have given money to local and international charitable organizations, but this donation appears to be particularly close to his heart.

You see, Jesse himself started out as a one-man entrepreneur when he was only 16 years old. By age 22 he was the CEO of several flourishing companies, so he personally understands what drives people to take charge of their lives and start their own companies.

What Is The Kiva Foundation?

The Kiva Foundation is a group that believes the way to bring people in developing nations out of poverty is to help them start their own small businesses and build up their personal wealth through drive, determination and effort.

They realized that the cost of starting a small business in a developing nation can be remarkably low – in many cases, thriving companies have been started with loans as low as $150. But, because these people generally have no collateral or business experience, banks won't give them loans.

The Kiva Foundation was created to address this problem. Over the years, the Kiva Foundation has given over $150 million of micro-loans to nearly 400,000 entrepreneurs. Over 80 percent of the entrepreneurs it has helped are women, and their repayment rate is just under 99 percent.

In other words, they are actually more successful when it comes to helping people start successful businesses than most traditional financial institutions.

Who Is Jesse Willms?

Jesse Willms is an Alberta native who has been an Internet Marketing entrepreneur since he was 16 years old. He has designed his business around the premise that while profiting for himself, he also needs to help the general public and business community as a whole.

Because of that, he has always given a substantial amount of his profits to local, national and international charities. While his donations are usually given in the name of his companies, in the Kiva case he decided to make a personal donation.
